To MEOW and Beyond!
MLEM: Space Agency is a family board game where you step into the shoes of fearless captains of cosmic expeditions. But hold on, these aren't your ordinary explorers – they're cats! These intrepid felines have long conquered the Earth with their unmatched bravery, and now they've set their sights on conquering the entire cosmos. However, their clumsiness might lead to some purrfectly chaotic cat-astrophes. Take the helm of a cosmic rocket, reach for the stars, or trust your cat instincts and bail out before things go up in flames. Fame and admiration from the entire meowing world await the most exceptional leader of the feline space agency.
Each player in the game is made up of a group of eight cats, each with special abilities. Each turn, one player takes the lead and places the astronaut cat of their choice on the other crew's spaceship, then the other players do the same. The player then rolls six dice and (ideally) selects all dice with a value that matches the value listed for the ship's current location. For example, in the default setting you can choose 1, 2 or Comet. Advance your spaceship by the number of dice you choose, then decide whether you want to abandon the spaceship (put the astronaut cat on the moon or planet next to the location) or continue. Other players can also drop ships if there is space. (Each moon can only be one astronaut cat and the player receives a constant number of points, while the world can be based on the number of astronaut cats and the result of points received based on most scores in the end of Game.)
If the astronaut cat captain abandons ship, the next astronaut cat on the ship becomes the captain. Eventually, every astronaut cat on the spaceship will find a new home. The same may be true for comets leaving the Oort Cloud. Or the astronaut captain will fail the dice roll and send all the astronauts back to Earth. The game ends when the player's eight cat astronauts have been sent into space.
