Please note: You will need the Catan base game, the Seafarers expansion, and both the Catan base game 5-6 player extension and this Seafarers 5-6 player extension – a total of four game boxes.           

6th Edition – Whats New & Compatibility

The main changes with the 6th Editions are the enhanced artwork, components and rulebook.  The mechanics of the game remains the same and the 6th edition is backward compatible with the 5th edition.  That's right you can play any combination of 6th edition and 5th edition base games, expansions and 5-6 player extensions.

Ages: 10+    

To play the Expansions you need the Base Game. You can also combine the different Expansions.  To play the 5-6 player Extensions, you need to have its corresponding Expansion game as well as the Base Game and the Base Game 5-6 player Extension.
